Q&A: The Alistair Carmichael election case

A legal challenge over the election of Liberal Democrat Alistair Carmichael as Orkney and Shetland MP has been refused by judges. They said the petitioners had "not proved beyond reasonable doubt" that Mr Carmichael had committed an "illegal practice". What was the case about?
